In Pre-K, We're Always Learning!
You will receive "Highlights of Our Upcoming Week" every Friday by email. Each subject area will be included. We love to share what we're learning.
Academics and Play with a Purpose
In our classroom, we believe that learning is hard work - but also lots of fun! That's why I do my best to ensure that instruction in our classroom is engaging, exciting, content-rich, and accessible for all learners. In addition, play time is incorporated into each day, to ensure that students build lasting communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Subjects
Religion
We will study the Bible beginning to end, learn about saints, celebrate the Liturgical Year and important Catholic holidays, and attend school Masses.
Math
We will study numbers 1-10, learning to write and count to each number. We will learn about shapes, patterning, sequencing, graphing, and foundations of addition and subtraction.
Literacy
We will learn to identify and write capital and lowercase letters Aa-Zz! We will learn letter sounds, and even practice thinking of and writing words that begin with each letter sound.
Social Studies/Science
We will learn about family, our neighborhood, community helpers, our culture, and cultures around the world. We will practice writing and addressing letters together, cooking and baking, and challenging ourselves with hands-on activities and experiments.
